System Security and Process owners

System security

The system account is used by the operating system and has the same file privileges similar to the administrator account but have different functions. The system account is designed for the purpose to serve as an internal account capable of logging onto the services and processes within Windows internally. When a IT person accesses the system account they can seek information regarding the user who runs the computer.

A computer virus purpose is to spread to other machines or cause the computer to malfunction in a way. Exploits can take advantage of the operating system and applications with higher privileges that can spread throughout the machine. The shared network between users can also be infected all of which depends on the system where the infection takes place.

The threat can escalate allowing additional users rights and privileges to the system. The user has administrative privileges to the exploited command prompt and create changes to the program without the owner knowledge.

Process Owners

A process owner manages the performance of a process through Key Performance Indicators and make changes related to achieving process objectives. The process owner responsibility includes improving, viewing, advising, and ensuring all process objectives. A web server that runs under administrative-level privilege enables them to focus on managing their entire network by providing comprehensive one-to-one system management. A server manager refers to a stand-alone system with attached network storage units or a modular system consisting of one or more servers in a modular enclosure.
